Cadiz, Spain

September 7, 2013

This is considered the oldest continuously-inhabited city in all of Europe.  There are touches of every culture possible.  We took the ferry from Rota which is just across the street from where we now live.  There were three enormous cruise ships in pier.  Many of the shops around the pier were super fancy and directed for the cruise ships, but walking farther into the city got a much cooler view.  The main cathedral is beautiful and has an old crypt. I liked seeing the old Roman ruins, it really amazes me to think how much history has happened right where I was standing.  Another interesting tid bit is that since there aren't really any grassy medians, the people will just have their dogs poop right in the middle of the street! The 3 second rule does not apply in Europe!
