Damon went on a liveaboard diving trip to Palau on the Palau Aggressor II. The goal was to get to Palau as this is reputed to be the best diving in the world. I did a live aboard as the goal was to maximize diving. Little did I know I got a pretty fancy dive boat. The food was tremendous. I was told to do Palau at the end of my Guam tour as it would make Guam diving not seem as cool. The number of sharks in the Palau current is mind blowing. You tie into the coral and drift in the current and watch the sharks go by. Palau is also much easier to see Manta Rays (we saw one). We saw schooling bullet head parrotfish, literally thousands of 3-4-foot fish. When a female would go up the water would literally turn cloudy as the bulls chased her. We saw schooling stripped base, literally thousands of 3 foot plus fish, everywhere you looked. It was the very end of my time in Guam after Allison and the kids had already left. I would love to do this again but with Allison and the boys. This is an absolute must for anyone who dives.

June 2025
June was our last few weeks for the boys and I to be in Guam. Damon had to stay longer, unfortunately. Milton and Damon hiked Mount Lam Lam and has become an avid hiker. Owen played the piano at his 5th-grade stepping up ceremony in front of the entire 5th grade class and all the parents and family. He played at the end when all the 5th graders were walking out. He did such a great job! Owen was also one of 4 from his class to get the Presidents Award for Academic Achievement. Owen was impressed that President Trump had the time to sign everybody's certificates. Our HHG were picked up at the end of May so we are living the dream with three beds, three dressers, and a dining table set. I kept a projector so that we would watch a show from the iPad. We did the jet skiing tour up the eastern side of the island which was a bit windy so Milton wasn't all that thrilled with the waves we were hitting going out. Owen loves thrill ride style activities more than Milton. The boys and I left on June 11 flying through Hawaii and Denver. It was nice to have our flights go in to Jackson instead of Salt Lake so we had a shorter drive to Afton. Owen got a bit sick on the flights, but one United blanket and a few barf bags and we were good to go. We will not miss that journey at all. Once in Afton we got to work on our various taskers which included a significant amount of rhubarb harvesting. Ileene makes really amazing rhubarb pies and rhubarb/blueberry jam. Owen, Milton, and Kaylee also got to spend a week at a soccer camp in Thayne. Then we would usually hang out at the Green House once we got done with soccer. The boys love playing with Kaylee. We are loving having so much time with family. Owen and Milton love playing with Finn and Lily. We did a day to Crystal Lake which was a fun 4-wheeler ride (minus the dust) and then a little hike out to the lake. We also stopped for a hotdog lunch and some quick shooting. While there are definitely things we will miss on Guam, we are excited to be back on Wyoming.
