March 2021

Life is pretty good.  The kids love school, Damon gets to pull some teeth, and I have been working on my new quilt.  Things are starting to warm up and I am loving seeing all the daffodils and trees starting to bloom.  Milton has turned 4! And now he will actually say that he is 4 instead of insisting that he was 100 years old.  Milton had his 4-year-old checkup as well and is in the 72% for both height and weight.  It does seem like his fingernail will come off with the smoosh it got in the door.  Nothing really to do until it grows out.  Their vision test said he is 20/20, but I will still take him to the eye doctor since it took a bit to get Owen into his much-needed glasses.  He's a pretty healthy little guy. Owen has mastered tying his shoes.  Amazingly, it was a very short process for him to get it down. Tightening them up seems to be his struggle right now, but getting the knot down went more smoothly than I was guessing.  He had to get another cavity taken care of too. We are having so much fun with our group of friends at the playground.  And then there are usually 3 more friends that join the group on the early release Wednesdays.  Milton's class had Dr. Seuss week and I was able to go in a read some of our Dr. Seuss books.  Milton's favorite is 10 Apples Up on Top.  Owen loves riding his bike to school and Milton rides his bike in to pick Owen up.  He still is determined to keep on his training wheels.  He will refer to his blue bike as his 'new bike'. Milton's favorite thing to do when he is home is to play with his pipeline with the hose bib in the front garden making a huge pool and then a channel in front of the shrubs.  A perk of base housing, not paying a water bill. The biggest excitement of March was at the end of the month having Spring Break with my mom at Disney World.
