After getting back from Wyoming we celebrated the Spanish tradition of opening the Christmas gifts on Three Kings Day, January 5th. Owen had his first cavity filled. This pediatric dentist is fantastic. Owen is doing great with his piano lessons and we will be continuing them. Milton started at his morning daycare and is doing fantastic. It is just a few buildings down from where I go for my orchestra rehearsals. There are about 10 kids in his class with two teachers. He goes Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. The office called me to tell me there was an opening and asked which days I would like...um...all of them, duh. A slightly bumpy start as to be expected, but he has warmed up to his teachers brilliantly. They take pictures of the kids during the morning which is fun to see what he is up to while he is at school. Milton loves to say that things are "em-pe-ty" usually referring to an obviously stinky and full diaper. Whenever Milton is irritated he will point at you and say "boom boom" Damon thinks this is hilarious so Milton ends up getting mad at Damon a lot. I got a personal best score bowling a 138. Damon got a personal worst that same game bringing down 60 pins. I am loving my orchestra practices and being able to play my cello. The kids can be a slight distraction for getting any progress made in figuring out a piece. Thankfully with Milton's morning school I can practice while they are both away. It is super adorable when Owen will start telling anybody who holds still how his mommy plays cello. As part of Damon's FMF pin he got to do a day out on one of the Amphibious Vehicles and got all decked out in his Marine gear. These pictures were posted up on the Camp Lejeune facebook page that was kinda fun to see Damon.
