January 2021

This month we got the official orders to Guam thus beginning the mountain of paperwork to actually make it happen.  It still doesn't feel completely concrete as there are still many steps that somebody could screw with something.  We are getting a head start so at least we have time on our side. Both boys are doing great at school.  Milton's teachers do am amazing job sharing pictures of the kids at school which I love to see.  And also doing such fun activities! This month Milton had a whole series of 'get smart with art' making some super cool projects that I plan on keeping forever.  Owen is doing some great work and is making huge progress with his math and reading.  We are doing the tower of books challenge and read 20 books per week.  It is mostly just keeping track of the books that we read and at each 100 Owen gets a treat from his teacher.  Milton's schoolwork is after the pictures of him at school.  Then there are a couple pictures to separate Milton and Owen's schoolwork. Their favorite part of January was getting to play more with our neighbors Max and Matt.  They both had birthdays in January that was so much fun to do their science project parties.  Their mom, Cynthia, does such fun things with the kids.  We are bummed to not have our time at Camp Lejeune overlap more, but we are making the best of our time together.  The boys all do amazing playing together.  We grew some potatoes from a potato that sprouted shoots and had a 3 potato 1 cm each crop harvest.  The quilts I made for Kory and her girls finally arrived shockingly not damaged.  Owen had another eye checkup and his prescription is the same so using his eye patch is working well.  His black frames broke, so we had those go in for repairs and he used his backup blue frames.
