Owen's Baptism and 8th Birthday

Owen got baptized! Our bishop in Guam was very accommodating and we were able to do the interview in Guam, and then the baptism and confirmation in Afton.  Being able to have a baptism with family is so meaningful.  Richard and Nancy were able to come up from their house in Logan so having some Palmer representation was so wonderful. My mom and Ileene did the opening and closing prayers.  Damon did the baptism.  Trent did the confirmation with Richard, Rod, Chad, and Kelley.  Trent was also our witness when Damon and I got married, so he is a frequent flier with our ordinance work.  I did the talk about baptism and confirmation. Brook was our pinch hitter piano player for singing Owen's favorite church song of I am a Child of God. Ileene made some amazing pies and cakes for the treats at the pavilion outside after we were all done.  It was nice and simple.  Owen is such a sweet little boy I'm pleased he decided to get baptized. Just the day before we went to Emree's baptism which was great to be able to attend a family event since we are only home for the summers.
