Milton Rod Jensen

I am very proud to announce the arrival of Milton Rod Jensen on March 22, 2017 at 12:25 am.  He weighed in at 8 pounds 1 ounce and was 21.5 inches long.  I make big babies! I began contractions on Monday morning which was the first day of Spring so I was happy for him to be in Spring.  Those little contractions continued throughout the day and through the night.  At 8 am Tuesday morning I had a scheduled OB appointment where I went in for my final checkup.  As a result of the checkup I began the far more intense contractions and finally checked into the hospital at 2 pm.  We succeeded in avoiding another c-section which had the whole process take longer, but the recovery has been amazing in comparison to the recovery after Owen.  Milton took to breastfeeding pretty well too.  We checked out of the hospital by 5 pm on Thursday. I packed on a total weight gain of 50 pounds, which was the same as with Owen.  During my time in the hospital, my mom took care of getting Owen to and from daycare and tending him for the day.  Then Damon would get home and do his regular evening routine.  Since Milton came 5 days early, Damon's paternity leave didn't kick in yet.  We are so grateful to have my family nearby.  And it worked out perfectly for Ileene's spring break to be so close to the delivery day too so Ileene could come out. We are very grateful to have Milton arrive safely and are excited to have him join our family.
