October 2016

This has been our first "normal" month since arriving back in Bethesda.  We got our big household shipment on September 30th so we were finally reunited with all our treasures.  Owen was so happy to see his toys again.  October 28th we went in for the 20-week ultrasound and found out that we are having another boy.  The due date is still kept the same and everything looks normal with development and growth.  It was such a relief to see that at least thus far our new little guy is healthy. Owen still has no idea what is coming his way.  A favorite Owen-ism that I am pretty sure he picked up from daycare is that if he is hitting something I can tell him no and then he will gently put his hand on whatever object he was hitting and say "nice".  It is super adorable to say the least.  Still not saying as much as the typical 2-year old, but he is making a lot of progress with individual words and more action words such as "sit, play, and mess".  Trucks and tractors still reign supreme in fascination and he will not go to sleep without having at least one train or truck in the crib with him.  Something probably not a huge deal, but fun for me, was that Owen had his first official school pictures over at his daycare.  I don't know what that photographer was doing, but they were able to get an absolutely adorable smile from him. The month concluded with Halloween and we were able to use Owen's Feria outfit that thankfully still fit.  Owen is doing so well in daycare and with the overall transition of moving.

I will get a better picture - he moves so dang fast it is hard to get something decent.
