We returned from Maryland successfully and I got back to work the next day. My classroom got repainted and looks lovely! The boys were excited to get to be back with their Guam friends. Not long after we got back were we having our doorbell ringing by Chuck. Milton has started First Grade with Ms. Daniel and Owen is in Fourth Grade with Ms. Paulino. Owen was relieved to not have a teacher with an A name. He has had Ms. Adams, Ms. Angoco, and Ms. Aguon over the past three years. The Peruvian BAP Unión stopped at Guam for its global circumnavigation which is part of the Peruvian Navy training. Owen got to go on the tour. One of their sailors needed some help from Damon, so the ship's dentist gave us a neat BAP hat and some other swag. Damon has had a wonderful 23 inches of rain to bike in the past month which is another record-breaking amount of rainfall. And where we live on the island got the highest of anywhere else on the island.

Bethany Beach
Probably the highlight of my summer was to meet up with Kory, Zara, and Aliya at Bethany Beach. We rented a condo and all met there. The kids all played so well together and we all had such a wonderful time!

July 2023 - Maryland
We flew from Salt Lake back over to Baltimore. It was more meaningful for me than I would have guessed to be back in my homeland. We had not been back to Maryland since 2021when we were first moving out to Guam. I missed hearing all the Maryland insects in the evenings. A bulk of our visit was spent at Bethany Beach with Kory and her girls. We had a few days with Adrienne and the kids before they went out to the Curry Family gathering in California. Milton and Rory really connected in their love for construction and engineering. The boys had several fun evenings with Colton taking them out to the lego store or out golfing. George II, Cindy, and George III all came to my mom's for dinner which was really fantastic to get to spend some time with them. Colton, mom, and I went to the temple to do the proxy sealing to parents for my dad with Colton as his proxy and I was proxy for Gladys. It was really special to be in there with Colton and my mom. My mom and I also went for an endowment session together. The boys loved playing with Colton's old legos. My mom bought the boys a big lego train set that they loved. So much so that we ordered one to get shipped directly to Guam since I knew all the pieces would never make it together. It was so lovely to get to spend time with my mom in person and the boys having so much fun at her house.
