WY Christmas 2019

We had the pleasure of spending Christmas in Wyoming again this year.  The temperature change in comparison was a bit of a shock, but with enough jackets we were able to acclimate well.  The kids love being around all the family.  Owen is getting to be the perfect age for Christmas and was so much fun getting him excited about Christmas Day.  The kids got a pretty impressive haul for their gifts.  It was a good thing I packed an extra duffel bag to get all the loot home. We went to the meadow and played in the snow several times, went sledding with the 4-wheelers, deposited Owen's piggy bank fortune into his bank account, went to Fossil Butte and got a fossil named "sweetie", and Damon took the kids cross country skiing in our hiking backpack.  Owen got a junior ranger badge at Fossil Butte and loves telling anybody who holds still about his badge.  We learned that the Raleigh airport has an excellent offering for toys that I am sure we will manage to collect them all.  Damon's favorite part was probably putting Christmas lights up on the house.  Our Christmas light plugs in the eves worked perfectly.  Damon and I went skiing for our anniversary and I unfortunately succumbed to the laws of physics and twisted my knee.  Nothing serious, but very unpleasant.  We won't be going to Snow King again.  Minus my injury we had a ton of fun, but did look forward to getting back to the warmth of North Carolina.
