On our way over to Bethesda, Milton and I stopped at Maryland Day over at College Park. It was so fun to walk around and show Milton where I spent so many years. I even ran into Dr. Weil at the AGNR building which was quite the blast from the past. I worked with his graduate students in the soils lab. I worked with nitrogen testing and the impacts of different cover crops. Milton's favorite part was the demonstrations in the Physics building.
Fort McHenry is a historical American coastal pentagonal bastion fort on Locust Point, now a neighborhood of Baltimore, Maryland. It is best known for its role in the War of 1812, when it successfully defended Baltimore Harbor from an attack by the British Royal Navy from the Chesapeake Bay on September 13–14, 1814. (Thanks Wikipedia). Milton's favorite part was the cannons. Owen wasn't feeling super great, so he was just focusing on walking around. I got some NPS stamps too which is always a win. Afterward we went to a fun restaurant in Baltimore.
We are plugging away at school and work. Milton had a fun project that was based on peeps so we made a diorama with peeps and Harry Potter. Milton is heavily into Harry Potter and read the books simultaneously with Damon and Owen all by himself. He got the book from the school library. Owen's favorite part of the month was to be Principal for the Day and got to hang out with Mr. McCann all day.
