Christmas 2022
The day after Thanksgiving we got our Christmas tree and our neighbor's best friend was over to play and helped us put up the ornaments as well. Milton's favorite ornaments are the two trains. I had to put away the train my father had purchased because the kids were messing with it too much and one of the wheels broke. I found those two other trains that Milton is very happy to hang out with. Probably the coolest Christmas event we went to was the Rota Walk at Andersen. We were a bit grumpy to drive all the way up to Andersen, but it was worth it. Every house on the street is voluntold to go all out with their decorations. The coolest was an homage to the Christmas Drop that the air force does with a candy drop of a huge model C5 that dropped a huge pile of dum dum pops. I put a video of it on the shared photo album with the other kid videos. We painted coconuts again this year. Damon did a bucking bronco and I did a Maryland flag. Owen and Milton went the more abstract route. On base there was a Christmas lights event where we got to see Santa with his carabao cart. Milton was enthralled. I don't think I will even get accustomed to having Christmas events when it is 80 degrees outside. We got back from our Philippines trip at 4 am on Christmas Day so Santa didn't have as much time for setup. The boys still had a great haul and I think we had a successful Christmas.
