June 2022

This month had a lot of changes! Owen and Milton finished school and then the day after they flew out to Wyoming with Damon to begin their summer of fun. Owen's end-of-the-year event was the field day.  He was not too excited about competing with everybody, but the pictures that his teacher took made it look like he was having some fun.  Milton had a graduation party where his teachers put together an amazing binder of all of his work and each of the kids got to say what they want to be when they grow up.  Milton wants to be a volcanologist.  His outfit selection was key for this announcement.  He totally rocks his island attire. Milton's best friend Chuck would hang with us after school and the kids would play outside, at the playground, build onto the city, and otherwise do kid things. I had my term of weekday classes to finish with a technology class and adolescent psychology.  Good prep for the Praxis Principles of Learning and Teaching test I have to take before starting student teaching.

June 2022 - Wyoming

The boys' flights all went well with a total door-to-door travel time of 27 hours.  Guam is not an easy place to get to. But it is totally worth it to get to spend the summer with family. The boys were thrilled to get to play with Finnegan since the last time we got to see him he was just a little baby loaf. They went to the festival on main street with a trampoline contraption that they both tried out.  Owen (blue helmet) and Milton (red helmet) both attempted the Mutton Bustin' and were rather trampled and have zero interest in trying again.  But I am proud of them for trying. They liked the goat tail chase better.  Damon took Owen on the white-water rafting float out of Jackson.  Then took both of the boys on the scenic float since Milton was too young for the whitewater.  Owen liked it more than I thought he would! Their favorite place is at the meadow swimming. Damon and Trent worked on the power hookup for the garage and Damon put in the final row of garden in the back.  (Those pictures are on a separate blog post of house projects).
