Back to school! We are back to Guam and back to our schedule. We had two weeks before school started so the boys got to hang out at SAC. My first day back to work was August 2. The Department of Health is once again causing significant issues and threatening to not allow our school top open because they have not yet done the inspection. Not that we failed the inspection, but that they haven't done their job during the summer and finished inspecting the schools. GovGuam once again having our students bearing the brunt of their incompetence. Our first day of online classes was on August 22 and we had our full 13 days of professional development days at the beginning of the year instead of interspearsed throughout the year. We spent a lot of time painting and otherwise getting ready for the inspection. Milton's teacher this year is Mrs. Orzoco and Owen's teacher is Mrs. Osterson. It was fun to get to walk in the boys on their first day. For Labor Day weekend, MWR put on a bounce slide thing and outdoor movie. Then we also took a tent to stay the night. We did not last that long as the boys were gassy, mosquitoes unpleasant, and it was hot. Damon did some more diving on his off-call weekends. SAC offered a parents night out so Damon and I went out to a fancy dinner. I was able to successfully renew Owen's passport which was a wonderful 2 hours spent at the Department of Tax and Revenue. We miss our family back stateside, but are happy to be back in our routine.

Bethany Beach
We met up with Kory and her girls again this summer at Bethany Beach. The kids all played so well together and it was wonderful to get to spend time with Kory and her girls. We also spent a day with my mom's friend who lives just 40 minutes from the beach. Joanne and Fedeli made us an amazing lunch and the boys got to play in their pool and hang out with the chickens. Colton came up on our last day with Otto and Rory which was also so much fun.
