Halloween 2023

I was Miss Frizzle, Damon was Forrest Gump, Owen was Willy Wonka, and Milton was Burt Gummer.  I got to wear my costume to school and conveniently while we are covering the solar system so relevant for my current lessons.  Most of my students didn't know what my character was, but all of the other teachers got a kick out of it.  While we were trick or treating in our neighborhood, Owen passed out full-size chocolate bars.  We didn't stay out all that long because we got caught in a downpour which was icky.  Earlier in the week Damon took the boys to the hospital trunk or treat and then won the best-dressed family! I was still at work so wasn't able to join in.  We also went to the trunk or treat at the gym and I liked seeing the Coast Guard and Seebee decorations. 

RHIGA pool - October 2023

A PHR pool pass day.  The slide and more 'kid' pool was closed originally due to typhoon damage.  But they are using that as an opportunity to replace the pool decking hardscape.  The boys had fun in the infinity pool and then going down the stairs to the rocky beach.

Nikko Pool - October 2023

A PHR pool pass day.  Our favorite part for this visit was the cabana thing on the beach that was comfy and in the shade.  Our lunch was kinda fancy Japanese which some of the food really confuses me.

Damon and I got to go to the Navy Birthday Ball.  I enjoyed getting a fancy dress and going out.  There was even childcare right outside the ballroom so the boys were at the hotel with us too.  I am really enjoying my students this year and am putting together all my lesson plans and assessments which is so much fun to have my own classroom.  Thankfully the air conditioner is still functioning.  I have to jiggle the thermostat when my air conditioner is having a temperamental day. We had a close-call typhoon that thankfully turned before we could get a direct hit to Guam. Schools were closed for a day. The boys are doing great at SAC and school and Damon is pulling lots of teeth.  We went to a couple of our hotel pools on our PHR pass this month too.  A fun month!
