August brought an end to our time in Wyoming. What a wonderful trip! The boys are so happy when we visit Wyoming and all our family. Rod and Ileene showed the boys truly how much they love them by taking them to the fair and riding on the rides with them. Owen liked going on the rides more than I thought he would. On our way to the airport, we stopped at Golden Spike NM where I was super excited to get a new stamp. Milton got his junior ranger badge too. We also did a day at Bear Lake. The water was so low we had to drive way out in the sand to get to the water. I finished the quilt for Baby P which was a lot of fun to put together. My main project for the summer was studying for my PLT Praxis exam so I didn't get to do too many projects around the house. I ended up getting a 185 with the passing score being 157 and the highest possible being 200. Pretty great to have a standardized test go well! The boys and I made the long flights back to Guam. The excitement with that series of flights was that I didn't know that we stayed in that same terminal for the transfer and did not need to get our luggage. Flying to the mainland I have to pick up the bags, but going back to Guam I don't. Totally doesn't make any sense. Since I did not know this, I ended up going out of security with the boys only to have to go back through and then find out that our next gate was right next to the one we came in through. It's always exciting to fly. Once back on the island we got through the jet lag and reacclimated to the heat. We got to experience our first earthquake! It was rather exciting. Nothing major, but it made the house shake. The boys were already asleep so they didn't get to feel it. Most exciting for the boys and me was our first day at McCool. Milton's kindergarten teacher is the same person who did the garden club so I was pretty excited to have Milton get her too. Then it was my first day back to school for my student teaching too. So much fun to get in the classroom but holy cow so intense to be on a full-time employment schedule. The boys absolutely love going to the after-school care on the bus at the end of the day. I typically stay until about 5 pm and then bike back home to pick up the van and then pick them up from SAC. Then I drop them off at the school for them to ride their bikes back home. It was nice to be back with all four of us in the same place. It was an exciting summer of travels!
