The boys are so happy doing their little boy things. Damon took Milton on a hike to the "cave forest" which is Milton's favorite place to go as of now. Milton got his second covid shot. Proudly displaying on his thigh at the same time he is still in his brace. The end of the month Milton was able to get graduated out of his splint and his bone is fully healed! The boys both love school and playing with friends. Especially our neighbor across the street who is in Milton's class. She gets along with both boys wonderfully. Milton and Charlotte (also goes by Chuck) like to put the sprinkler on the trampoline to jump in the water. We have tried our first batch of local produce from the farmers cooperative. Unfortunately, we ended up tossing much of it because I had no idea what to cook with it. The little eggplants I cut and fried like with fried green tomatoes that was really yummy. Owen pulled out another one of his loose teeth. Thus far he has removed all of his own teeth which is pretty cool. Milton had his last soccer practice until we get back to Guam. The teacher had to take off for May since she is due to have her baby soon and a replacement coach was yet to be secured. Then the boys leave June 8 for Wyoming so no point in only having one practice before leaving. I am keeping very busy with my classes which this term ends on May 15th. Then the next term is in June which is our last term that has the two courses. In August starts the internship (student teaching for me) and action research coursework. I am enjoying the special ed class more than I thought I would. The topic of my main presentation was about ADHD and Epilepsy (also including Diabetes and Asthma) but I selected my topic due to my extensive personal experience with those two. The boys had a Friday off that Damon took off too and we went to the Hyatt pool using a PHR pass. Owen and Milton are such good little swimmers. Damon goes diving any weekend he is not on call and has taken enough of the specialty classes to be a Master Diver. Owen did an assignment in school for Martin Luther King Jr. and as per Owen, "love means kindness and hugs and kisses" which I think is rather profound. Owen is such a sweetheart. Here down in the south part of the island has some amazing mango trees. They are small mangos, but very sweet. The Valley of the Latte had their yearly big festival that had performances and local vendors. Owen picked out a carved coconut but then Milton wanted one of the uncarved coconuts which he has dubbed his baby. April is the Month of the Military Child so the school had a parade and lots of little events throughout the month for the kids.
