Wilmington Marathon 2021

The Wilmington Marathon was on a beautiful Spring Day. I had taken 2nd overall in the Battleship Marathon earlier this year at Wilmington so I was excited to possibly do well on this race. However, I ended up 41/332 overall and 5/36 in my division. Being one of the only Marathons since COVID people actually came from some distance to run the thing. The race also had a cash prize bringing in better runners. I opted to get a hotel and this made the check in really easy and the post op run shower really easy. I had a great pre race meal at the “German Restaurant” which was really good. Allison brought the boys after the race and we met at the hotel parking lot and spent a nice day at the local arboretum. It was a fun race.
