October 2019 Bethesda Weekend

We drove up to Bethesda for the long weekend.  It was fun to get to spend time with our Palmer family.  We went to a concert for Owen to see a piano, flute, and oboe. Owen had been asking to go to the aquarium since we went to Charleston so we took him up to the Baltimore aquarium.  The kids loved the dolphin show.  The next day we went to the zoo with my mom that Milton was so fascinated he fell asleep in the stroller.  The kids favorite part was probably going to the Calleva enchanted forest in their Halloween costumes with Otto, Rory, and Abby.  The big project that we did was get the tree my mom picked out for my dad's memorial tree in the ground.  It is a twelve-foot tall tree and incredibly heavy and difficult to manage.  Damon was able to back the trailer into my moms back yard and we were able to roll it into the hold Damon dug over the summer.  The placement ended up being closer to the fence than my mom was hoping so her "men" came to move it over away from the fence.  It is a beautiful tree and hopefully all the movement didn't damage the root ball too much. It was a fun weekend.  The drive is long, but worth it to be able to spend time with family.
