July 2023 - Wyoming

Another amazing visit to Wyoming! The best part was getting to meet our sweet little Lillian! We went to Heise Pool, the Heber Creeper, Crystal Lake, Swift Creek, Flying, and probably the best part of just being with all our wonderful family.  Owen has now turned 9 which is coo coo bonkers. The boys are getting so big.  Owen loved playing with Finn, Milton was a bit more hesitant but he just needed a bit of encouragement on how to handle hanging out with a 2-year-old.  Lilly is such a sweetheart and we are excited to have our newest member be so mellow.  Damon got through his Ironman in Coeur d'Alene. The boys made some excellent additions to their tree house.  Our apple trees are all doing really well.  The deer were very hungry with this past hard winter so we did have more damage than in the years before.  We bought our first 4-wheeler which Milton adores and will attest to its strength and might.  Milton will often argue with Rod that the Honda is tougher than his Jeep.  Owen and Milton loved to play with Damon's antique legos in their 'lego room' of Damon's old bedroom.  Milton spent most nights over at the Green House but Owen still loved to sleep with Grandpa.  Each year I wonder if he will not want to sleep in grandma and grandpa's bed.  We also got to see the completion of our garage.  I had to install the door hardware and then Trent helped connect the wires from the piping last summer.  We will eventually put in garage door openers as the doors are kinda heavy.  We aren't in a super hurry though.  Next summer we will get it all paved. After dropping off Damon at the airport for his return journey to Guam I met up with Richard, Nancy, Melissa, Kristi, and her husband Nathan.  It was a fun lunch.  After Nancy and I went to a quilt fabric fair type thing with super discounted prices for all the fabric.  I have the fabric all ready for my quilt to make next summer. I found a design made by Allison Jensen so it was a sign that I needed to make that quilt.  Richard and I were dressed as twins.  I love to visit with my family.  There's just something about being with your own family line that is meaningful.

As per Owen: It was pretty cool.  We got to see Lillian, Finnegan, Milton, Kaylee - all my friends.  We went to Bear Lake, the cabin, the meadow, the red house and the green house.  You can't forget we spent time with family.  We tried new foods and went to swimming lessons.  We were pretty sad when we left but it was worth it because we had a whole lot of fun.

As per Milton: I just liked riding my Honda. Well, I did like spending time with grandma and grandpa.  Going to the cabin with Grandpa.  It was boring to drive and fly to get there.
