Ritidian Point

We made our way up to explore the North side of the island.  Ritidian Point is the northernmost point of the island of Guam. It is owned by the US Fish and Wildlife Service which administers the area as part of the Guam National Wildlife Refuge.  The beach is stunning.  Since we first saw it in our hike book as Ritidian beach to Falcona beach we considered it more of a hike and so were dressed as such.  We will definitely go back again but take all our swimming gear.  The parking lot is super close to the beach.  There were lots of people with chairs and umbrellas so it is seen as a beach to spend the day.  Owen was totally happy jumping in the water fully dressed.  That boy loves water.  The visitor center was small but Owen enjoyed asking all sorts of questions about the display on Challenger Deep.  The lady was kind enough to ask them all.  Guam is really close to the Mariana Trench. We didn't have too much time at the beach since the gates close at 4.  After we went to Andersen Air Force Base to go to the restaurant Bamboo Willies.  The food was pretty yummy right on the beach there.  The Air Force base is pretty nice, as expected for Air Force.  Owen made sure to bring his Dogman book to read while waiting for our food and eating it.
