August we returned back to the East Coast. We flew back to BWI and just spent the night to drive back down to Camp Lejeune the next day. My mom joined us which was so wonderful to have her visit for a week here. Damon was so happy to have us all home! We went for bike rides, and see a movie on base. We did a day trip to Kinston and saw the CSS Neuse and got some yummy barbeque. It was raining a lot so were were kind of hindered from doing much else. Then mid-August we drove back up to Bethesda and the kids all had so much fun all playing together. Adrienne found a huge water slide that we had for the entire day for the all-kids birthday party. The plan is to do some sort of event and then the actual gifts being books. We would rather events for fun memories than houses full of stuff. The boys were running up the steps and going down the slide all day long. Milton was a bit scared to go on his own so I finally got on my swimsuit and took him down and he was saying "again again". We also set up the little pool for Milton and Abby and they really played great together. Adrienne also got us reservations at the My Gym so we could have a morning of our crew alone at the indoor gym. We all also went to the zoo (much thanks for Adrienne getting reservations) for an afternoon. I love seeing all the kids playing together. Cousins are so fun. The end of the month brought us Owen's first day for 1st grade and Milton's first day for his 5-day per week morning pre-school. Owen did so fantastic riding in and skipping into school. I am so proud of how well he does going into school and how happy he is. Milton was on the fence at first going into school but he has really warmed up to his teachers. There are only five kids in his class!
