April 2023

A busy month of teaching, school, diving, and working.  Damon found a dead Brown Tree Snake that the boys got to go see.  Damon turned 40! His birthday adventure was our trip to South Korea.  Although that trip was also for Milton's birthday so we got to do a bit of double-dipping there.  Damon's birthday present was some bathroom floor mats because it is a household debate about whether to put a towel on the floor to prevent puddles and a slipping hazard. The strawberries at the commissary were $15 per container from Korea.  Once getting them home we found them individually wrapped and probably the best-tasting strawberries I have ever tasted.  Especially when compared to the quality, or lack thereof, of the cheaper strawberries.  It was also wonderful to have them last in the fridge.  April 20th had a partial solar eclipse which was during my school time so I got to show all my students the eclipse using the glasses the school got from UOG.  So I was able to bring a pair home to have Owen and Milton get to see the eclipse too. April is the Month of the Military Child so the boys got a lot of celebrations at school and SAC.
